Patuxai Arch

A memorial to Laotian casualties of the war for independence, the Laotian gained full indepence in 1954. The arch was founded in Vientiane, Laos.

This is the first temple, supposedly built in the 3rd century by the Indian missionaries. This is a Buddhist monument but also a representation of Laotian nationalism.

-Phou Bia, also known as Mount Bia, is Laos' highest peak.  It's 9, 245 feet tall and is located in central Laos.

Major Tourist Attraction

One major tourist attraction is Laos' capital city called Vientiane. Vientiane

has a very interesting history which includes the many people that have

been in charge of what is now Laos. The capital and its people are very easy

going. Buddhist Monastaries and markets are mainly located here.
