The vietmanese people's main religion is Buddhist. 9.3% of the country is Buddhist. The reason the precentage is so small is because about 80% of the country does not have a religion at all. The Buddhist religion believes in Buddha. Buddishm is condidered an indian religion. Buddha who lived in the early 5th century was considred a teacher who taught people to get away from the normal cycle of life. He also tried to help sentient beings escape from suffering. There are two major branches of Buddishm, Theravada and Mahayana. These two branches have spread around all of asia. Buddhist believe in Karma which means actions. They believe that karma is the force that drives the cycle of suffering and rebirth for each human being. They also believe in rebirth. Where every time one life ends they begin a knew one.
