-Kinmen- Monument on Taiwan's coast that shows the marks left from previous wars fought there. It is the first line of defense for Taiwan and that explains the bullet ridden walls and torn up houses. It was built to show what war does to land and people of Taiwan. Memorable events here are the 2-28 and the bombardment. 2-28 was when nationalists started a riot and two were killed and a cigarette sellar was injured. Also, a monument displaying Chairman Mao Zedong's accomplishments is located here.
