The Philippines are proud to announce that they are the only Christian country in all of Asia.  Although Christianity is the biggst religion in the Philipenes, more than 86% of the population is Catholic.

However, Christianity and Catholicism are not the only religions in The Philippines. About 4% of Philippines religion is Muslim. The majority of Muslims are in the southern islands of Mindanao, Sulu, and Palawan.

Finally, 2% is Filipino Catholicism. This different religion

follows some of the same beliefs and practices as Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. This relgion is one that believes in more than one god, spirits, and creatures. They also believe that men guard the streams, fields, trees, mountains, forests, and houses. The supieror of other gods and spirits, that created man and earth, is named Bathala. Sacrifies and prayers were offered to these spirits as well. The people are rewarded or punished based on how they live this life.
